no.64 - The Abstinence Plan

There are only two possibilities. I look forward to hearing which of these two options Governor Palin is willing to admit:
Either:
Vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin failed to effectively educate her own daughter on the principles she firmly believes.
Or:
Her educational principles are deeply flawed. Abstinence programs are ineffective and myopic in their scope, yielding poor results wherever they are implemented.

I just want to know where Sarah Palin stands on this Abstinence program, now that she has new information.
Labels: abstinence, beauty pageant, Bristol, pictures, pregnant, Sarah Palin, whoops

As I listened to an interview you had with a man talk about Palin’s pro-abstinence stance for schools. I heard the man knock her for this. His comment was that it didn’t work for their home. THAT IS EXACTLY THE POINT. The message of abstinence needs to come 1) from the home AND 2) from the school. Both working together. This PROVES that Palin is CORRECT and NOT WRONG as the interviewee said. Keep up the fight Mrs. Palin - YOU WERE RIGHT!!!! The schools need to teach “abstinence”, peer groups need to encourage each other, teachers need to encourage students, and family’s need to teach it. It is a tough go for kids nowadays. This generation got its “free love” from the sixties and they are reaping “abortion, aids, drugs, divorce, etc. etc.” Congratulations.
I have tried and I can't make sense of your argument. You are suggesting that this PROVES Palin correct? If her daughter did not get pregnant, would she be proven wrong over there in Bizarro world?
Seriously, if she were wrong about Abstinence Only sex (non)education, what could possibly prove it?
Or is it impossible for her to be wrong because she agrees with your SHOUTY, punctuation challenged and, frankly, myopic point of view.
Take a look at teenage birth rate back before sex-ed and you might have to spend the whole night convincing yourself they were fixed by some liberal before you are able to get a good night's sleep.
As for your "shout out" (with three exclamation points) to Mrs. Palin, I do hope she can hear you.
How about a little info for those that don't live in the US and/or don't read daily media and stuff? I read this blog regularly but I have no freaking idea what you're talking about in this post.

futuremillennium,
Your response surprises me. But to put this in context for you - In the United States there is an upcoming election for president. The president is the presiding leader of the country here.
Each presidential candidate has a vice president - you can think of this as a "back up" president.
One of the candidate's is Sarah Palin, who is not an obscure reference - rather she is front page news on many international papers.
I don't know where you are from, but trust me, if you don't know who she is, she will no doubt cause trouble for your country if she should become president.
I know who she is, unfortunately, but internationally only her opinions that actually involve outside of the USA are discussed, so this is the first time I hear about her abstinence plan or her daughter (getting pregnant I presume?). You can't expect international media to discuss things that involve only the USA, especially things like a vice-president candidate's daughter.
I'm from the Czech Republic, by the way, you should've heard about that since the USA plans to build a radar here…
